About Us
Dr. Lesley Williams is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics. She graduated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from dental school at the University of British Columbia in 1989, following which she spent 6 years in general practice. Motivated to further her education, Dr. Williams attended graduate school at the University of Alberta where she completed a Masters in Science (Orthodontics) degree.
Dr. Williams is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Williams is an active leader in the orthodontic profession. She is an examiner for both the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the American Board of Orthodontics. She is also a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Williams is the immediate past Presindent of the Pacific Coast Socitey or Orthodontists.
Dr. Williams prides herself in providing outstanding orthodontic care to her patients in a relaxed, caring and fun environment. She incorporates technological and scientific advancements within the profession into the techniques used to provide excellent orthodontic treatment for her patients.
At our new South Surrey location, Dr. Lesley Williams treats all of her patients with the support of a team of specially trained, experienced and certified staff. This means that throughout treatment, Dr. Williams’ patients will benefit from her experience and expertise as a certified orthodontist. Dr. Williams is committed, above all else, to providing the exceptional care to each of her patients.
OUR TEAM
All of our dental assistants have specialty training and certification in orthodontics. Each assistant has been trained in specialized techniques used by Dr. Williams. These techniques include: digital photography, digital radiography, computerized patient education techniques, indirect bonding, invisible retainers, and the use of numerous other specialized orthodontic procedures.
Our certified orthodontic assistants have years of experience helping the orthodontists and administrative staff provide exceptional, state of the art orthodontic care for each patient.
TECHNOLOGY WE USE
Technology is in full use in our office. We utilize top of the line digital cameras to capture your images before and after treatment. The newest addition to our equipment list is a brand new digital x-ray machine which requires less radiation and no darkroom!
One advantage digital images over film images is in the area of diagnosis and treatment planning. A benefit that is often overlooked comes simply in the easy to view, large format size of the digital image files as displayed on a CRT or LCD monitor. Such a large image display allows for full resolution viewing at a comfortable angle which aids the doctors in developing a thorough and complete diagnosis.
We also take full advantage of the internet, sending digital radiographs and photos to dentists and other specialists. This saves time and expense, as well as increases the communication level with all aspects of our patients’ treatment. We will be pleased to share your images with you.
MINIMIZING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Designing a new office to better serve our patients is a great opportunity to employ technology in new ways which will help reduce our carbon footprint. We want to minimize our impact on the environment, and continue to reduce our carbon footprint. We are a paperless office. This means less paper and less garbage. Our patient records are stored digitally and we rely on the internet to do much of our communications. The newest addition to our equipment list is a brand new digital x-ray machine which requires less radiation, no chemicals and no darkroom!
